Pest Control Operator (PCO)

Key Responsibilities:

– Complete our comprehensive, company-funded training program to manage a pest control service route confidently.

– Operate a company vehicle and adhere to a designated route schedule within your assigned territory, ensuring a timely and safe arrival at each customer location.

– Communicate with customers to address their concerns and recommend comprehensive pest management services.

– Utilize your problem-solving skills to recommend the most effective pest solutions tailored to each customer’s needs.

– Document service-related tasks using our user-friendly software and handheld device for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.

– Manage route-based assignments independently while maintaining effective customer interactions.

– Lift and carry backpack sprayers up to 50 lbs.

– Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.

-Follow Product Labels, laws and regulations, and company Policies. 

-Participate in group meetings or company text conversations.

 

Requirements:

– Comprehensive training will be provided; prior experience is not necessary.

– Proficiency in smartphone usage is essential.

– A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

– Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check, as we handle sensitive accounts.

– Within the first 30 days of employment, candidates must obtain the appropriate pesticide license (Part of our paid training).

-Candidates must be able to work independently in the field, manage assigned routes, and effectively engage with customers.

– Candidates must meet the physical job requirements, including:

– Physical stamina to lift to 50 lbs repeatedly 

– Ability to bend, twist, and reach

– Good vision, hearing, and smell are a plus when identifying pest problems.

– Access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, and rooftops. (We try to limit this for PCOs)

– Safely utilize a ladder within its weight capacity. ( limited for PCOs)



A Day on the Job:

After training, As a PCO, you will clock in from your smart device at home while filling sprayers and getting ready for the day. You will then review your schedule on the Mobil device and head to your first job. The job info will detail what service will be provided. After timing in for the job, completing the job, and adding any additional notes, you will head to the next job and continue until all jobs are complete. A service typically involves packaged services, such as spraying homes and yards and inspecting rodent stations. Each job generally lasts 15-20 minutes, with some taking longer. Most technicians complete 15-20 jobs per day. Initially, you will have a lighter workload to facilitate your acclimation. Our routes are typically 2 hours to the farthest point. Once all your jobs are complete, you will clock out for the day and head home.  We usually work Monday-Friday, 8-5, and pay through your lunch while on the go. Some days, techs might be done by 2 pm, depending on your efficiency.

Wildlife Control Operator (WCO)

Repair holes and seal gaps in buildings

Set traps for animals

-Participate in group meetings or company text conversations.

 

Requirements:

– Comprehensive training will be provided; prior experience is not necessary.

A service typically involves inspecting buildings for pest entry points, providing a quote, or completing a previously quoted job. Most quotes include exclusion services such as sealing entry points, setting traps, and scheduling follow-up visits. On slow days, you will complete PCO jobs to fill your gaps. Initially, you will have a lighter workload to facilitate your acclimation. Our routes for WCO are typically 1 hour to the farthest point. Once all your jobs are complete, you will clock out for the day and head home.  We usually work Monday-Friday, 8-5, and pay through your lunch while on the go. Some days, techs might be done by 2 pm, depending on your efficiency.
